What we do
We all like to do our bit and help the many deserving charities that constantly strive to raise much-needed funds, in this country and internationally.
We take our social responsibility very seriously and regularly donate prizes to worthwhile causes to help with their fundraising activities and will continue to do so. However, in May 2016, The Dome launched our new charitable initiative. Each month we will fundraise for a charity chosen by our staff by adding a discretionary 50p to each table bill, every penny of which will be donated to that month’s nominated charity. We think you will agree that this is a small sum but as a busy restaurant, these 50p’s will mount up to make a difference to a great many people.
Who we have supported
Sick Kids Friends Foundation, Marie Curie, Gorgie Farm, MS Society, Royal Voluntary service, The Yard, Meningitis Research Foundation, Forth 1’s Cash for Kids, St Columba’s Hospice, Street Soccer Scotland, Alzhiemers Scotland, SAMH, Barnardo’s, Children First, British Heart Foundation, Help For Heroes, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, The Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre.
For the month of February, we have chosen to support The RNLI who provide, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service and a seasonal lifeguard service. Your donations will help meet the cost of saving lives at sea.
How much have we raised?
We are delighted to have raised an AMAZING £71,532.50 so far!!
Without our discerning guests we wouldn’t be able to make such a difference. Thank you to all our customers for your contribution.
